Rip
Therapy Dog
Rip is an adorable Australian Shepherd, who has been working on becoming a therapy dog at the Stradwick Psychology & Neurofeedback Clinic since he was a puppy. His fluffy coat and sweet face will charm anyone he meets. Rip is incredibly smart, loves to learn new things, and he is always eager to please.
Rip loves getting belly rubs and belly scratches; He is a very affectionate, friendly pup that is well behaved and loves spending time with kids and adults alike. Rip is ready to provide stress relief and comfort by being available to Stradwick Clinic clients to feel, touch, pet, and cuddle him before and after their sessions in a designated area.
Research shows that therapy dogs support a person’s mental health by providing attention and comfort. Their sweet demeanor and unconditional love may have a therapeutic benefit to those who face difficult health challenges. Some of the most common examples include: Lowering stress, depression and anxiety levels. Providing comfort and companionship to children who may be lonely or struggling in school. Boosting morale after a traumatic event.
When not at work Rip loves playing with his squeaky toys, chasing balls in the backyard, and chewing on a good bone.
