B.A.

Neurofeedback Technician

Olivia is a Neurofeedback Technician with the Stradwick Psychology and
Neurofeedback Clinic. She completed an Honours B.A. in Psychology from the
University of Ottawa in 2023, where she conducted memory and executive
function tests on both young and older adults for her honours thesis.
Olivia is currently completing her MSc in Neuroscience at the University of
Ottawa, under the supervision of Dr.Andrew Nicholson and in conjunction
with the Atlas Institute for Veterans and Families. Her thesis looks at the
effects of EEG-neurofeedback on insular connectivity in individuals with
PTSD. She is also a part of a study within her lab that assesses the
impacts of PTSD and trauma exposure on the dynamics and individuals within
an intimate relationship.

As a neurofeedback technician, Olivia has extensive experience working with
children with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) who have higher support needs,
using adaptive practices to ensure clients can complete neurofeedback
sessions without compromising their own comfort. In future, she plans to
continue her studies in Clinical Psychology or Neuropsychology, driven by a
strong interest in the neurological and psychological foundations of mental
health disorders. Having seen the meaningful impact of therapeutic
interventions and clinical support, she is committed to fostering an
environment that promotes personal growth and resilience.
