Kaity (she/her) is a bilingual (EN/FR) Registered Social Worker with the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Services Workers (OCSWSSW). Kaity holds a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Nipissing University, a Social Service Worker (Intensive) diploma from Canadore College, and a Master of Social Work from the University of Windsor.
Kaity is passionate about creating an inclusive, affirming, and non-judgmental space for all clients, with a particular commitment to supporting 2S-LGBTQIA+ individuals. As a queer-identifying therapist, she brings both personal insight and clinical expertise to her work, recognizing the importance of feeling seen, understood, and supported in navigating identity, relationships, and life transitions.
Kaity has over three years of clinical and crisis experience, supporting individuals navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, emotional overwhelm, and more. She has a strong interest in trauma-informed work, particularly with clients experiencing overthinking, emotional suppression, and somatic symptoms, as well as difficulty expressing their needs or setting boundaries. Kaity also supports clients through periods of change, including career uncertainty, transitions into adulthood, and questions around purpose and direction.
Kaity’s approach to therapy is person-centered, collaborative, and eclectic. She draws from a range of evidence-based modalities including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Trauma-Focused CBT, Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Internal Family Systems (IFS), Brainspotting, and neurobiologically-informed approaches. She integrates these frameworks flexibly to meet each client’s unique needs, recognizing that no single approach fits everyone.
Kaity’s work is grounded in empathy, authenticity, and deep respect for each individual’s lived experience. At the heart of her work is a belief that healing happens in safe, supportive relationships. She aims to help clients build self-awareness, reconnect with themselves, and move toward meaningful, lasting change with greater self-compassion and confidence.
