Isabella Gondek

Isabella is a Registered Psychotherapist at the Stradwick Psychology & Neurofeedback Clinic. She obtained her Master’s degree in Counselling Psychology from Yorkville University and her Honours Bachelor of Science from the University of Ottawa. Additionally, Isabella holds Level 3 Clinical Training from the Gottman Institute and is working towards becoming a Certified Gottman Therapist. Isabella speaks English, Polish and French.

Isabella works with adolescents and adults, providing therapy to individuals, couples and families alike. She has experience working with a broad range of concerns that include but are not limited to depression, anxiety, developmental trauma, post-traumatic stress, grief, paranoia, anger, self-esteem and intimacy issues. Isabella incorporates research-based interventions to help strengthen couple’s relationship skills and manage different comorbidities common to couples, including affairs, PTSD, domestic violence and addiction. She uses Gottman method assessments to determine the quality of a couple’s friendship, romance and passion, the effectiveness of their conflict management and key areas that need improvement.

Isabella believes that therapy is a fluid process and that wellness is heavily dependent on balance. She adopts a biopsychosocial approach and integrates the modalities and techniques that appear to be most beneficial to each client’s unique needs based on collaborative goal setting and treatment planning. Isabella is devoted to helping her clients pursue change and achieve wellness.
