Falyn is a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) at Stradwick Psychology and Neurofeedback Clinic. Falyn is offering services at both the Stittsville and Nepean locations in-person and virtually. She holds a Master of Counselling Psychology from Yorkville University, a Bachelor of Social Work from Carleton University, and an Advanced Diploma in Child and Youth Care from Algonquin College. Her education and professional experience have provided her with a strong foundation in mental health, child and youth development, relationships, and family systems.

Falyn believes that therapy should be a space where you can feel genuinely heard, understood, and accepted for who you are. She takes a collaborative, client-centred approach and allows clients to take the lead in identifying what they would like to explore and work toward. Rather than offering a one-size-fits-all approach, Falyn believes that you are the expert in your own life and works alongside each client to understand their unique experiences, strengths, challenges, and goals.

In her sessions, Falyn draws from Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), strengths-based approaches, Motivational Interviewing, attachment-based perspectives, mindfulness-based approaches, and psychoeducation. She uses these approaches flexibly based on each client’s needs and preferences. Her goal is not only to support clients in navigating their current concerns, but also to help them develop a deeper understanding of themselves, their thoughts, emotions, relationships, and behavioural patterns.

Falyn has experience supporting children, youth, and adults experiencing a range of mental health and developmental concerns, including anxiety and depression, as well as working with individuals diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) and attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD).
