Emma is a Clinical Social Worker at Stradwick Psychology & Neurofeedback Clinic. She obtained her Bachelor of Arts in Child Studies at Carleton University and her Master’s in Social Work at the University of Toronto. Emma has a background in Early Childhood Education (RECE) and is a Play Intern with the Canadian Association for Play Therapy. She is also a Circle of Security Facilitator with Circle of Security International.
Emma recognizes the value of a genuine, relaxed, and personable approach to therapy and builds on her clients’ existing strength and knowledge to promote positive change. She has experience working in community-based agencies, schools and healthcare with individuals of all ages. Emma can support children, teens, and adults struggling with anxiety, depression, school challenges, stress, developmental trauma, parenting challenges, emotional dysregulation, and more.
Emma’s treatment approach is evidence-based, personalized, and informed by a variety of modalities such as Play Therapy, Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Cognitive-Behavioural Therapy (CBT), and modalities rooted in attachment theory such as Emotion-Focused Family Therapy (EFFT).
