Nicki Gallo Affleck

Nicki is a Registered Psychotherapist and Certified Play Therapist at the Stradwick Psychology & Neurofeedback Clinic. Nicki’s Masters Program was through Leeds Beckett University in the UK. She received her certification through the Academy of Play and Childhood Psychotherapy, completing her post graduate studies in their South of France campus. Nicki has done further training in Children’s Grief and Bereavement and the Integrative Trauma and Attachment Treatment Model (ITATM).

Nicki has worked in a variety of settings offering individual and group therapy within schools, hospitals, and community non-profit programs. She enjoys collaborating with the whole family to create sustainable and lasting change. Using play therapy as well as traditional talk therapy, Nicki’s approach is creative, integrative, and client-centered. She utilizes psychoeducation and is trauma and attachment informed. Nicki has helped children, teens and families navigate through school issues, social skills, behavioural issues, cancer/illness, grief and bereavement, trauma, emotional regulation, self-esteem and more.

Nicki believes that the individual has the power within them to heal and attempts to create a supportive, warm, non-judgmental space for their true essence to emerge. She believes in the transformational benefits of play as a therapeutic tool.
