DR. LAURA S. STRADWICK, PSY.D., C.PSYCH, BCN
Clinic Director, Director of Neurofeedback Services, Clinical Psychologist
Dr. Stradwick is director of Stradwick Psychology & Neurofeedback Clinic. She is a licensed clinical psychologist, registered with the College of Psychologists of Ontario. Dr.Stradwick is board certified in Neurofeedback by the Biofeedback Certification International Alliance (BCIA). She is also a member of the Canadian Psychological Association, the National Register of Health Service Psychologists, and the Association for Applied Psychophysiology & Biofeedback. Dr. Stradwick received both her Master’s and Doctoral degree in Clinical Psychology from the Illinois School of Professional Psychology in Chicago, Illinois. She obtained her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the University of Western Ontario, in London, Ontario.
Dr. Stradwick has specialized post-doctoral training in health psychology, including management of chronic pain and illness, pre-surgical evaluation, biofeedback training, health habit training, and stress management. She has worked in a variety of different clinical settings, including a hospital system, pain clinic, and an outpatient mental health center working with clients of all ages. Dr. Stradwick received additional supervised training in Neurofeedback (EEG Biofeedback) at the Ottawa Neurofeedback Centre.
Dr. Stradwick provides psychological services to children, adolescents, and adults who are experiencing a wide range of presenting concerns. Areas of specialty include ADHD, depression, anxiety, adjustment/life transition-related difficulties, interpersonal problems, emotional dysregulation, grief and loss, developmental trauma, posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD), concussion/traumatic brain injury, and chronic pain/illness. She offers a full range of psychological services in addition to Neurofeedback training. These services include individual psychotherapy, psychological assessment (i.e. psychoeducational, psychodiagnostic), and psychophysiological-based interventions, such as biofeedback training.
Dr. Stradwick’s therapeutic approach with clients is integrative. She emphasizes client collaboration in order to address presenting symptoms and individualized goals for treatment. She utilizes an attachment-based, client-centered framework to provide an emotionally safe and compassionate environment for building trust and therapeutic rapport. Dr. Stradwick’s therapeutic interventions are further informed by evidence-based practice. Interventions may include, neurofeedback, biofeedback, cognitive behavioural (CBT), psychodynamic, interpersonal, and trauma-focused techniques. These techniques assist each client in developing greater self-awareness as well as to facilitate self-regulation, psychological resilience, and personal growth.

Dr. Cosmin G. Colţea, Psy.D, C.Psych, BCBA

Dr. Cosmin G. Colţea is a clinical psychologist, registered with the College of Psychologists of Ontario and with the Saskatchewan College of Psychologists. Cosmin is also a Board-Certified Behaviour Analyst. He is a member of the Ottawa Academy of Psychologists, Ontario Psychological Association, the Psychology Association of Saskatchewan, and of the Association for Contextual Behavioural Science. Cosmin received his Bachelor’s degree in Psychology (Honours) and his Master’s in Developmental Psychology from Carleton University in Ottawa, Ontario. Cosmin received his Doctoral degree (Magna cum laude) in Clinical Psychology from California Southern University in Costa Mesa, California.
Cosmin has additional training in Autism assessment (ADI-R and ADOS-2), as well as in Autism interventions and goals development (PEAK, ABLLS-R, VB-MAPP, Early Start Denver Model, etc). Cosmin also has additional training in the assessment and management of ADHD. Cosmin has worked in private practice, as well as in multidisciplinary pediatric programs. Cosmin has extensive experience working with school divisions on training support staff, as well as in developing individualized programs for students. He has a keen interest in collaborating with First Nations communities in the provision of services to First Nations children with diverse needs.
Cosmin provides psychological services to children, adolescents, and their families. Areas of focus are assessment of Autism, ADHD, intellectual and learning differences, developmental delays, as well as associated mental health concerns. He also provides assessment and treatment of sleeping and feeding difficulties, parenting, behaviour management, as well as school consultations, and development/monitoring of home programs for children with diverse needs. Cosmin is also interested in the role of companion animals in children’s development. Cosmin can provide services in English and Romanian.
Cosmin utilizes evidence-based treatments such as acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT). His behavioural services are trauma-informed and are based on a relationship treatment model that recognizes the strengths of children and their parents, the influence of cultural norms and values, and the uniqueness of each individual’s skills. Cosmin believes that every child does the best that they can, and that children do better when they are understood and supported.

Dr. Andre Labao PSY.D., C.PSYCH, ABSNP.

Dr.Labao is a registered clinical and school psychologist with the College of Psychologists of Ontario. He is also Board-Certified with the American Board of School Neuropsychology (ABSNP), a Member of the Canadian Psychological Association (CPA), and a Member of the American Academy of Pediatric Neuropsychology (AAPdN).
Dr. Labao is dedicated to delivering exceptional client care. He believes that a comprehensive understanding of both psychological and neuropsychological factors is essential for individual health. Therefore, he places great importance on the assessment process, applying theoretical assessment knowledge to deliver evidence-based services to his clients.
Dr. Labao has extensive experience in psychoeducational and neuropsychological
assessments, including training at academic medical centres, private practices, school boards, and college counselling centres. He brings a strengths-based approach to his work with clients and values evidence-based practice. His background in brain-based behaviour, knowledge and application of various neuropsychological/ cognitive theories, and dedication to client-centered assessment ensures comprehensive testing of clients’ needs. His theoretical approach to his work includes using Integrated School-Neuropsychological/CHC, Lurian, Boston-Process, PASS, and Cross Battery methods/approaches. He values the quantitative EEG process in supporting treatment approaches for his clients. Therapeutically, he uses Cognitive Behavioural (CBT), Play Therapy, and Solution-Focused (SFT) modalities.

Isabella Gondek, PhD C.Psych (student)

Isabella is a Registered Psychotherapist at the Stradwick Psychology & Neurofeedback Clinic. She obtained her Master’s degree in Counselling Psychology from Yorkville University and her Honours Bachelor of Science from the University of Ottawa. Additionally, Isabella holds Level 3 Clinical Training from the Gottman Institute and is working towards becoming a Certified Gottman Therapist. Isabella speaks English, Polish and French.
Isabella works with adolescents and adults, providing therapy to individuals, couples and families alike. She has experience working with a broad range of concerns that include but are not limited to depression, anxiety, developmental trauma, post-traumatic stress, grief, paranoia, anger, self-esteem and intimacy issues. Isabella incorporates research-based interventions to help strengthen couple’s relationship skills and manage different comorbidities common to couples, including affairs, PTSD, domestic violence and addiction. She uses Gottman method assessments to determine the quality of a couple’s friendship, romance and passion, the effectiveness of their conflict management and key areas that need improvement.
Isabella believes that therapy is a fluid process and that wellness is heavily dependent on balance. She adopts a biopsychosocial approach and integrates the modalities and techniques that appear to be most beneficial to each client’s unique needs based on collaborative goal setting and treatment planning. Isabella is devoted to helping her clients pursue change and achieve wellness.

Rachel Côté, B.A, M.Sc
Psychometrist
Rachel received her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology (Highest Honours; 2011) as well as her Master’s of Science degree in Neuroscience (Highest Honours; 2013) from Carleton University.
Rachel has been working as a psychometrist in clinical settings since 2016, working with children, youth, and adults. She performs assessments in order to document the client’s neurocognitive, academic, and social-emotional status. At Stradwick Psychology and Neurofeedback Clinic, Rachel provides QEEG assessments and psychoeducational testing of children and adults under the supervision of Dr. Laura Stradwick.
Rachel is also an EEG and neurofeedback technician and has been working with EEGs since 2015. Previously, Rachel held research positions with the Public Health Agency of Canada and The University of Ottawa Heart Institute. Rachel’s patient and calm demeanor helps put clients at ease. She very effectively establishes a good working rapport, which helps to ensure that the client is working to the best of their ability.

SANDRA BROWNE KEALEY, PhD.,RP
Registered Psychotherapist, Clinical Supervisor
Sandra is a Registered Psychotherapist providing support to children, adolescents, and adults with a broad range of concerns including stress, anxiety, trauma, mood disorders, grief/loss, life transitions, self-esteem and parenting/family issues.
Her therapeutic approach is holistic, collaborative and compassionate, drawing from a number of evidence-based therapies such as Cognitive-Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT) and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR).
Sandra’s graduate education includes an MEd in Counselling and a PhD in Education. In addition to her practice with the Stradwick Clinic, she also works as a teacher with a local school board.

NICKI GALLO AFFLECK, RP, MA, CPT Certified Play Therapist
Registered Psychotherapist , Clinical Supervisor
Nicki is a Registered Psychotherapist and Certified Play Therapist at the Stradwick Psychology & Neurofeedback Clinic. Nicki’s Masters Program was through Leeds Beckett University in the UK. She received her certification through the Academy of Play and Childhood Psychotherapy, completing her post graduate studies in their South of France campus. Nicki has done further training in Children’s Grief and Bereavement and the Integrative Trauma and Attachment Treatment Model (ITATM).
Nicki has worked in a variety of settings offering individual and group therapy within schools, hospitals, and community non-profit programs. She enjoys collaborating with the whole family to create sustainable and lasting change. Using play therapy as well as traditional talk therapy, Nicki’s approach is creative, integrative, and client-centered. She utilizes psychoeducation and is trauma and attachment informed. Nicki has helped children, teens and families navigate through school issues, social skills, behavioural issues, cancer/illness, grief and bereavement, trauma, emotional regulation, self-esteem and more.
Nicki believes that the individual has the power within them to heal and attempts to create a supportive, warm, non-judgmental space for their true essence to emerge. She believes in the transformational benefits of play as a therapeutic tool.

Chelsea Graham, MACP, RP
Registered Psychotherapist, Clinical Supervisor
Chelsea is a Registered Psychotherapist at the Stradwick Psychology & Neurofeedback Clinic. She has always had a passion for helping those experiencing hardship at any stage in life, which lead her to pursue an education in the helping profession. Chelsea began her studies in Behavioural Psychology at St. Lawrence College and received an Honours Bachelor of Arts with this specialization. Following this degree, Chelsea made the decision to further her education in counselling specifically through her Master’s in Counselling Psychology at Yorkville University.
Chelsea prides herself on creating a safe and compassionate environment for clients to begin their healing process. She has several years of experience working with both youth and adults facing addiction (substance and process) and other co-occurring mental health concerns. Chelsea has also worked with clients who have experienced trauma through a Sexual Assault and Domestic Violence program. Additionally, Chelsea works with clients who are seeking support through dealing with self-esteem issues, anxiety, depression, stress and anger management, grief/loss, self-harm and other obstacles that present themselves in client’s lives.
As a Registered Psychotherapist, Chelsea believes that the therapeutic relationship is most effective when it is based on collaboration, trust, and openness. Chelsea takes a holistic approach to treating clients using techniques from various modalities such as cognitive behavioural therapy, dialectical behaviour therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy, mindfulness-based approaches, and trauma-informed care. She believes that all clients are unique, and her priority is to mold her therapeutic approach to suit each individual client’s needs. Chelsea focuses on building every client’s strengths in order to assist them in enriching all areas of life and move toward whole-hearted living.

CAMERON HANISHEWSKI, MACP, RP

Cameron is a Registered Psychotherapist at Stradwick Psychology & Neurofeedback Clinic. Cameron began his studies with a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from the University of Calgary in 2016 and completed his Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology from Yorkville University.
Cameron recognizes the uniqueness of each person’s story and will work to create a non-judgmental and open environment for clients to explore issues such as anger management, self harm, addictions, sexual and gender identity, self-esteem, relationship issues, depression, anxiety, life transitions, and stress. He primarily draws from Narrative Therapy, Emotion Focused Therapy and mindfulness perspectives to engage clients towards small positive changes.
Cameron works with adolescents, teens, adults, and couples, ensuring that each client feels safe and secure to explore their personal and relationship narrative. Through the exploration of strengths and emotions, clients can seek understanding, build resilience, and create change.

Fen Jin, MA, RCAT, ATR RP
Registered Psychotherapist
Fen is a Registered Psychotherapist at the Stradwick Psychology & Neurofeedback Clinic. She is also a Registered Art Therapist, with a Master’s degree in Art Therapy and Counseling from Hofstra University in Hempstead, New York. After completing her studies, she continued her work in Brooklyn, New York, where she provided psychotherapy to marginalized communities, integrating art as a tool for healing and understanding.
Fen’s approach is rooted in empathy, cross-cultural sensitivity, and a deep understanding of the diverse needs of her clients. She specializes in tailoring treatment plans to each person’s unique needs, ensuring that every session is meaningful and intentional. Her experience spans psychiatric outpatient settings and includes extensive work with individuals of all ages, particularly focusing on children and young adolescents.
Fen is dedicated to working with children and families dealing with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), anxiety, depression, trauma, and individuals from BIPOC and LGBTQIA+ communities. She has a proven track record of success planning art therapy and mindfulness programs in school settings, where she fosters emotional growth and resilience through a supportive, inclusive environment.
Using an integrative approach, Fen combines a variety of therapeutic modalities—some including art psychotherapy, psychodynamic therapy, person-centered therapy, CBT, and DBT. Her goal is to provide each client with the necessary support to facilitate healing, self-reflection, and personal growth. Fen meets her clients where they are, guiding them through the process of self-exploration and helping them discover the most effective path forward.

Nadine Samaroo RP

Nadine is a Registered Psychotherapist, with an Honours B.A. in Psychology with a concentration in Forensic Psychology from Carleton University. She has recently graduated (June 2024) from the University of Ottawa with a Master’s degree in Counselling Psychology. Nadine has experience supporting individuals through life challenges which include depression, anxiety, self-esteem issues, eating disorders, relationship conflicts, and developmental trauma. Her therapeutic style is integrative- including emotion-focused, compassion-focused and cognitive behavioural approaches. Her work is grounded in a client-centered approach- that emphasizes self-actualization.

Mindy is a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) at Stradwick Psychology & Neurofeedback Clinic. She is a Registered Drama Therapist with the North American Drama Therapy Association and is currently acquiring her certification with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO). She is a Registered Drama Therapist with the North American Drama Therapy Association and is currently acquiring her certification with the College of Registered Psychotherapist of Ontario (CRPO). Mindy works with children and youth by helping them identify, explore, and process their emotions through verbal and non-verbal means. She develops specific therapeutic interventions that fosters the strengthening of their social skills, self-expression, self-esteem, and their ability to build and maintain interpersonal relationships.
She has extensive experience in leading individual and group trauma-informed therapy in a broad range of clients with multicultural backgrounds, behavioral issues and psychiatric disorders in Canada and the United Stated. Mindy has clinical experience working with clients who struggle with ADHD, depression, anxiety, eating disorders, attachment difficulties, complex trauma, PTSD, and autism. She uses various treatment approaches such as trauma-centered psychotherapy, creative arts therapies, play therapy and sandtray therapy.

Veronica is a Registered Psychotherapist at the Stradwick Psychology & Neurofeedback Clinic. She has her Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology program. With a foundation rooted in understanding human behaviour, Veronica holds an Honours Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of Ottawa and a graduate certificate in Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA) from Florida Tech. She is certified as an ABA practitioner at the undergraduate level as a Board Certified Assistant Behaviour Analyst (BCaBA). Following the completion of the MACP program, Veronica aims to become certified as a Board Certified Behaviour Analyst and Registered Psychotherapist.
Veronica’s approach places authenticity and genuineness as the heart of her practice. Her eclectic approach is characterized by a blend of cognitive-behavioural, solution-focused, and trauma-informed therapies to place the needs of the client central to the therapeutic process.
Across five years of experience supporting children, adolescents, and families through the challenges associated with ASD, ADHD, OCD, and anxiety, Veronica has committed her practice to seeking ongoing collaboration and meaningful connection between herself and her clients. She strives to cultivate a space of trust and acceptance where clients of all abilities feel empowered to explore their emotions, thoughts, and experiences openly without judgment.

She has completed a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Carleton University and a Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology from Yorkville University. Nicole provides counseling services to clients of all ages with a wide range of presenting concerns including anxiety, depression, interpersonal conflict, identity issues, grief and more. Nicole has worked alongside children and their families navigating ASD and ADHD challenges, as well at-risk youth seeking behavioural support and affirming care. As no stranger to life’s stressors, Nicole fosters a safe and understanding environment for individuals at all stages of life to create meaningful change.
Nicole believes the therapeutic relationship is principal above all else. With genuine curiosity and unconditional positive regard, Nicole aims to connect with clients and understand their unique stories before implementing techniques from various evidence-based modalities. With experience delivering CBT, DBT, narrative, and psychodynamic therapy, Nicole takes an integrative client-centred approach to therapy with a particular interest in existential principles. Collaboration, respect, and perspective-taking are central to her practice.

Rachel is a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) at Stradwick Psychology & Neurofeedback Clinic. She is currently completing her Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology at Yorkville University and is acquiring her certification with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO). She received her Bachelor of Science in Neuroscience and Mental Health from Carleton University in 2021.
She takes a holistic approach to client care, centered around warmth, respect, and curiosity. Her primary focus is to build a trusting and secure foundation with her clients, creating the beginning for beautiful transformation and healing. She supports youth and adults through their journey, exploring their emotions, thoughts, and experiences in a non-judgemental space. She strives to enhance their strengths and empower them to take purposeful strides towards their desired goals. Rachel gravitates towards an integrative approach to counselling, cultivating a treatment plan to prioritize the unique needs of each client. Rachel looks forward to creating a meaningful connection with you, working together to create change and build resilience.

Tara Snyder, MACP (Cand.), RP (Qualifying)

Tara is a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) at Stradwick Psychology and Neurofeedback Clinic. She has completed a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the University of Ottawa and is completing her Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology from Yorkville University. Tara provides counseling services to clients of all ages with a wide range of presenting concerns including anxiety, depression, interpersonal conflict, self-esteem, and stress. Tara has experience working with neurodivergent clients with autism and/or ADHD as well as youth who are facing academic or social pressures. She is committed to creating a supportive, inclusive, and affirming therapy space where people from all backgrounds, cultures, and identities feel welcome.
With a foundation in CBT, Tara also draws from other evidence-based modalities such as ACT, DBT, and MCT. Her approach is warm, compassionate, and non-judgemental, with the goal of creating a safe space where you can express yourself freely and begin making meaningful changes in your life.

Maryem Bengassem M.Ed., RP (Qualifying)

Maryem is a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) at Stradwick Psychology and Neurofeedback Clinic and is passionate about creating a therapeutic space where clients of all backgrounds feel respected, understood, and supported. She completed an Honours Degree in psychology with a specialization in developmental psychology at Carleton University and a Master of Education in Counselling Psychology at the University of Ottawa.
Maryem’s work is guided by a strong commitment to honouring clients’ values, lived experiences, and strengths. Inspired by her own Muslim identity, Maryem specializes in multicultural counselling and brings a deep appreciation for each client’s unique cultural, religious, and familial context. Maryem has extensive experience supporting children and youth in therapeutic settings, including those experiencing ADHD, social difficulties, behavioural challenges, and emotional regulation concerns. She also works closely with adults seeking support for anxiety, depression, family and relationship stress, identity development, cultural or faith-based conflicts, and personal growth.
Maryem’s therapeutic approach is compassionate, collaborative, and integrative. She tailors treatment to each client’s goals, ensuring a safe, empathetic, and non-judgmental space for exploration and healing. Maryem supports clients in developing insight, strengthening emotional resilience, and building tools that promote meaningful, long-term change. Falyn Sykora, MACP (Cand.)
Counselling Intern
Falyn is a Counselling Intern at Stradwick Psychology & Neurofeedback Clinic. She is currently completing her Masters of Counselling in Psychology. Falyn’s background includes a Bachelor of Social Work and an Advanced Diploma in Child and Youth Care, which together provide her with a strong foundation in child development, mental health, and family systems. She has worked with individuals experiencing depression and anxiety, as well as those diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder (ASD), attention-deficient and hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), and global developmental delays.
Falyn is committed to offering compassionate, evidence-based support to children, youth, and adults. Her approach is collaborative, client-centred, and strengths- focused. Falyn believes that every individual has the capacity for growth, and she will work alongside clients to build practical skills in a supportive and encouraging way. She frequently incorporates cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) into her sessions, supporting individuals in building psychological flexibility, challenging unhelpful thinking patterns, and taking meaningful actions.

Emma Edgar, MSW, RSW

Emma is a Registered Social Worker and Psychotherapist at Stradwick Psychology & Neurofeedback Clinic. She obtained her Bachelor of Arts in Child Studies at Carleton University and her Master’s in Social Work at the University of Toronto. Emma has a background in Early Childhood Education (RECE) and is a Play Intern with the Canadian Association for Play Therapy. She is also a Circle of Security Facilitator with Circle of Security International.
Emma recognizes the value of a genuine, relaxed, and personable approach to therapy and builds on her clients’ existing strength and knowledge to promote positive change. She has experience working in community-based agencies, schools and healthcare with individuals of all ages. Iris has been a strong advocate for child and youth mental health throughout her life, including through individual and group therapy. As a counselor, Iris has experience supporting clients with a wide variety of challenges including ADHD, anxiety, depression, stress, chronic illness, exploration of sexuality/gender identity, and life changes.
Her approach is client-led and solution focused, empowering clients to make positive changes in their lives. She believes in a holistic approach that looks at all elements of a client’s life, and creates a unique treatment plan for the individual needs of each client.

She is a registered social worker with the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers (OCSWSSW). Kate completed her BSW and MSW at Carleton University. Kate has extensive experience working with youth, young adults, and their families, with a focus on empowering them in their mental health journeys. She creates an open, safe, and collaborative environment during sessions, fostering youth independence and offering interventions to reduce mental health stigma while promoting healthy coping strategies. Her background includes working with “for youth-by-youth” mental health organizations, where she helped build youth mental health awareness and involved young people in decisions about their mental health. Kate is dedicated to continuing this collaborative practice to facilitate impactful changes in individuals’ lives.
Kate’s area of focus includes working with the following: Youth, teens, young adults, family counselling and parent coaching, conflict resolution, coping skills, self-regulation, stress management.

Izzy is a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) and Assistant Co-Director of Neurofeedback Services at Stradwick Psychology & Neurofeedback Clinic, with a deep sense of curiosity and a lifelong passion for helping others that form the foundation of her clinical practice. She completed her undergraduate degree in Neuroscience and Biology with a minor in Psychology at Carleton University in 2022. She has been passionate about helping others across her entire life, consistently throughout her undergraduate degree through completing several projects in helping to improve pedagogy in the Department of Neuroscience and contributing to literature on the topic and developing a pilot mentorship program for first-year undergraduate neuroscience students during the COVID-19 pandemic. She completed her honors research thesis under the supervision of Dr. Michael Seto at the Royal Ottawa Hospital, which was based in forensic neuroscience and examined electroencephalogram (EEG) activity patterns in a population of offenders. She will be completing her Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology at Yorkville University in December 2025 and has been working in the field of neurofeedback for the past several years.
Izzy takes a trauma-informed approach to her practice, and prioritizes the development of holistic, collaborative treatment plans and a strong therapeutic alliance in assisting individuals on their journey to healing. Her deep sense of curiosity and compassion contribute to heavily to her work, and her integrative approach draws from several modalities including CBT, DBT, strengths-based, and ACT . With several years of work in the clinical field in various roles, Izzy has experience working with a diverse range of clients and clinical concerns, with her main areas including trauma, stress, PTSD, anxiety, and ADHD. She also has experience working with individuals with depression, grief and loss, OCD and trichotillomania, relationship and interpersonal issues, and autism spectrum disorder (ASD). Izzy is currently accepting new clients for individual therapy for adults (18+) in person and virtual, starting January 2026 at our Stittsville location.

JENNIFER ARMSTRONG, MSC
Assistant Co-Director of Neurofeedback Services
Jennifer is a Neurofeedback Technician at Stradwick Psychology & Neurofeedback Clinic. She received her Bachelor of Science in Neuroscience and Mental Health (2020) as well as a Master of Science in Neuroscience (2022). Her research focused on molecular signaling in pain pathways and developing new treatment targets for chronic pain that are safe, non-addictive, and effective.
Jennifer is an experienced neurofeedback technician that feels every individual is unique and has their own needs during treatment. She strongly believes in an individualized approach to treatment that progresses at the client’s own pace and comfort level.

Julia Bedard B.A.
Neurofeedback Technician
Julia is a Neurofeedback Technician with the Stradwick Psychology and Neurofeedback Clinic. She completed her undergraduate degree in honours Psychology with a concentration in Health Psychology and a minor in Neuroscience at Carleton University in 2021. Her undergraduate thesis examined cognitive differences in attention to novelty between high and low sensation seekers measured via electroencephalogram (EEG). She has also contributed to research at Ottawa’s Royal Institute of Mental Health Research (IMHR) examining the efficacy of exercise as a non-medication-based treatment for depression. Julia also has experience as a traumatic brain injury (TBI) counsellor and therefore has particularly developed expertise in dealing with clients with concussions as presenting concerns and has worked closely with individuals with substance use disorder and depression.
Julia is currently pursuing her graduate studies in Clinical Psychology with the goal of becoming a Clinical Psychologist and hopes to contribute to research regarding developing sustainable behaviour change techniques which can be applied to a variety of mental health concerns. She highly values building strong rapport with clients and works to create a positive, professional, and compassionate safe space in her sessions while taking into consideration the individual differences, goals, and treatment protocols unique to each client.

Megan BSc, MSc Candidate

Megan is a Neurofeedback Technician at the Stradwick Psychology and Neurofeedback Clinic.
She completed her undergraduate degree at the University of Ottawa, earning an Honours Bachelor of Science in Psychology, and is currently completing a Master of Science in Neuroscience at Carleton University.
Megan’s undergraduate thesis examined autobiographical memory using brain imaging techniques in women with breast cancer who have undergone chemotherapy. Her master’s thesis is focused on assessing brain activity patterns in individuals with bipolar disorder who experience auditory hallucinations using several brain imaging techniques.
Megan believes in the brain’s ability for growth and positive change. She is passionate about working with individuals to reach their full potential through personalized neurofeedback training and is dedicated to building supportive relationships with those she works with.
Megan is experienced in working with a wide range of populations, including with children through her volunteer work at CHEO and her involvement with her soccer club, as well as with adults through her research and clinical experience.

Rip is an adorable Australian Shepherd, who has been working on becoming a therapy dog at the Stradwick Psychology & Neurofeedback Clinic since he was a puppy. His fluffy coat and sweet face will charm anyone he meets. Rip is incredibly smart, loves to learn new things, and he is always eager to please.
Rip loves getting belly rubs and belly scratches; He is a very affectionate, friendly pup that is well behaved and loves spending time with kids and adults alike. Rip is ready to provide stress relief and comfort by being available to Stradwick Clinic clients to feel, touch, pet, and cuddle him before and after their sessions in a designated area.

Dr. Stradwick is director of Stradwick Psychology & Neurofeedback Clinic. She is a licensed clinical psychologist, registered with the College of Psychologists of Ontario. Dr.Stradwick is board certified in Neurofeedback by the Biofeedback Certification International Alliance (BCIA). She is also a member of the Canadian Psychological Association, the National Register of Health Service Psychologists, and the Association for Applied Psychophysiology & Biofeedback. Dr. Stradwick received both her Master’s and Doctoral degree in Clinical Psychology from the Illinois School of Professional Psychology in Chicago, Illinois. She obtained her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the University of Western Ontario, in London, Ontario.
Dr. Stradwick has specialized post-doctoral training in health psychology, including management of chronic pain and illness, pre-surgical evaluation, biofeedback training, health habit training, and stress management. She has worked in a variety of different clinical settings, including a hospital system, pain clinic, and an outpatient mental health center working with clients of all ages. Dr. Stradwick received additional supervised training in Neurofeedback (EEG Biofeedback) at the Ottawa Neurofeedback Centre.
Dr. Stradwick provides psychological services to children, adolescents, and adults who are experiencing a wide range of presenting concerns. Areas of specialty include ADHD, depression, anxiety, adjustment/life transition-related difficulties, interpersonal problems, emotional dysregulation, grief and loss, developmental trauma, posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD), concussion/traumatic brain injury, and chronic pain/illness. She offers a full range of psychological services in addition to Neurofeedback training. These services include individual psychotherapy, psychological assessment (i.e. psychoeducational, psychodiagnostic), and psychophysiological-based interventions, such as biofeedback training.
Dr. Stradwick’s therapeutic approach with clients is integrative. She emphasizes client collaboration in order to address presenting symptoms and individualized goals for treatment. She utilizes an attachment-based, client-centered framework to provide an emotionally safe and compassionate environment for building trust and therapeutic rapport. Dr. Stradwick’s therapeutic interventions are further informed by evidence-based practice. Interventions may include, neurofeedback, biofeedback, cognitive behavioural (CBT), psychodynamic, interpersonal, and trauma-focused techniques. Dr. Cosmin G. Colţea is a clinical psychologist, registered with the College of Psychologists of Ontario and with the Saskatchewan College of Psychologists. Cosmin is also a Board-Certified Behaviour Analyst. He is a member of the Ottawa Academy of Psychologists, Ontario Psychological Association, the Psychology Association of Saskatchewan, and of the Association for Contextual Behavioural Science. Cosmin received his Bachelor’s degree in Psychology (Honours) and his Master’s in Developmental Psychology from Carleton University in Ottawa, Ontario. Cosmin received his Doctoral degree (Magna cum laude) in Clinical Psychology from California Southern University in Costa Mesa, California.
Cosmin has additional training in Autism assessment (ADI-R and ADOS-2), as well as in Autism interventions and goals development (PEAK, ABLLS-R, VB-MAPP, Early Start Denver Model, etc). Cosmin also has additional training in the assessment and management of ADHD. Cosmin has worked in private practice, as well as in multidisciplinary pediatric programs. Cosmin has extensive experience working with school divisions on training support staff, as well as in developing individualized programs for students. He has a keen interest in collaborating with First Nations communities in the provision of services to First Nations children with diverse needs.
Cosmin provides psychological services to children, adolescents, and their families. Areas of focus are assessment of Autism, ADHD, intellectual and learning differences, developmental delays, as well as associated mental health concerns. He also provides assessment and treatment of sleeping and feeding difficulties, parenting, behaviour management, as well as school consultations, and development/monitoring of home programs for children with diverse needs. Cosmin is also interested in the role of companion animals in children’s development. Cosmin can provide services in English and Romanian.
Cosmin utilizes evidence-based treatments such as acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT). His behavioural services are trauma-informed and are based on a relationship treatment model that recognizes the strengths of children and their parents, the influence of cultural norms and values, and the uniqueness of each individual’s skills. Additionally, Isabella holds Level 3 Clinical Training from the Gottman Institute and is working towards becoming a Certified Gottman Therapist. Isabella speaks English, Polish and French.
Isabella works with adolescents and adults, providing therapy to individuals, couples and families alike. She has experience working with a broad range of concerns that include but are not limited to depression, anxiety, developmental trauma, post-traumatic stress, grief, paranoia, anger, self-esteem and intimacy issues. Isabella incorporates research-based interventions to help strengthen couple’s relationship skills and manage different comorbidities common to couples, including affairs, PTSD, domestic violence and addiction. She uses Gottman method assessments to determine the quality of a couple’s friendship, romance and passion, the effectiveness of their conflict management and key areas that need improvement.
Isabella believes that therapy is a fluid process and that wellness is heavily dependent on balance. Rachel has been working as a psychometrist in clinical settings since 2016, working with children, youth, and adults. She performs assessments in order to document the client’s neurocognitive, academic, and social-emotional status. At Stradwick Psychology and Neurofeedback Clinic, Rachel provides QEEG assessments and psychoeducational testing of children and adults under the supervision of Dr. Laura Stradwick.
Rachel is also an EEG and neurofeedback technician and has been working with EEGs since 2015. Previously, Rachel held research positions with the Public Health Agency of Canada and The University of Ottawa Heart Institute. Rachel’s patient and calm demeanor helps put clients at ease. She very effectively establishes a good working rapport, which helps to ensure that the client is working to the best of their ability.

She received her certification through the Academy of Play and Childhood Psychotherapy, completing her post graduate studies in their South of France campus. Nicki has done further training in Children’s Grief and Bereavement and the Integrative Trauma and Attachment Treatment Model (ITATM).
Nicki has worked in a variety of settings offering individual and group therapy within schools, hospitals, and community non-profit programs. She enjoys collaborating with the whole family to create sustainable and lasting change. Using play therapy as well as traditional talk therapy, Nicki’s approach is creative, integrative, and client-centered. She utilizes psychoeducation and is trauma and attachment informed. Chelsea began her studies in Behavioural Psychology at St. Lawrence College and received an Honours Bachelor of Arts with this specialization. Following this degree, Chelsea made the decision to further her education in counselling specifically through her Master’s in Counselling Psychology at Yorkville University.
Chelsea prides herself on creating a safe and compassionate environment for clients to begin their healing process. She has several years of experience working with both youth and adults facing addiction (substance and process) and other co-occurring mental health concerns. Chelsea has also worked with clients who have experienced trauma through a Sexual Assault and Domestic Violence program. After completing her studies, she continued her work in Brooklyn, New York, where she provided psychotherapy to marginalized communities, integrating art as a tool for healing and understanding.
Fen’s approach is rooted in empathy, cross-cultural sensitivity, and a deep understanding of the diverse needs of her clients. She specializes in tailoring treatment plans to each person’s unique needs, ensuring that every session is meaningful and intentional. Her experience spans psychiatric outpatient settings and includes extensive work with individuals of all ages, particularly focusing on children and young adolescents.

Her background includes working with “for youth-by-youth” mental health organizations, where she helped build youth mental health awareness and involved young people in decisions about their mental health. Kate is dedicated to continuing this collaborative practice to facilitate impactful changes in individuals’ lives.

Izzy is a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) and Assistant Co-Director of Neurofeedback Services at Stradwick Psychology & Neurofeedback Clinic, with a deep sense of curiosity and a lifelong passion for helping others that form the foundation of her clinical practice. She completed her undergraduate degree in Neuroscience and Biology with a minor in Psychology at Carleton University in 2022. She has been passionate about helping others across her entire life, consistently throughout her undergraduate degree through completing several projects in helping to improve pedagogy in the Department of Neuroscience and contributing to literature on the topic and developing a pilot mentorship program for first-year undergraduate neuroscience students during the COVID-19 pandemic. She completed her honors research thesis under the supervision of Dr. Michael Seto at the Royal Ottawa Hospital, which was based in forensic neuroscience and examined electroencephalogram (EEG) activity patterns in a population of offenders. She will be completing her Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology at Yorkville University in December 2025 and has been working in the field of neurofeedback for the past several years.
Izzy takes a trauma-informed approach to her practice, and prioritizes the development of holistic, collaborative treatment plans and a strong therapeutic alliance in assisting individuals on their journey to healing. Her deep sense of curiosity and compassion contribute to heavily to her work, and her integrative approach draws from several modalities including CBT, DBT, strengths-based, and ACT . With several years of work in the clinical field in various roles, Izzy has experience working with a diverse range of clients and clinical concerns, with her main areas including trauma, stress, PTSD, anxiety, and ADHD. Jennifer is a Neurofeedback Technician at Stradwick Psychology & Neurofeedback Clinic. She received her Bachelor of Science in Neuroscience and Mental Health (2020) as well as a Master of Science in Neuroscience (2022). Her research focused on molecular signaling in pain pathways and developing new treatment targets for chronic pain that are safe, non-addictive, and effective.
Jennifer is an experienced neurofeedback technician that feels every individual is unique and has their own needs during treatment. She strongly believes in an individualized approach to treatment that progresses at the client’s own pace and comfort level.

Julia Bedard B.A.
Julia is a Neurofeedback Technician with the Stradwick Psychology and Neurofeedback Clinic. She completed her undergraduate degree in honours Psychology with a concentration in Health Psychology and a minor in Neuroscience at Carleton University in 2021. Her undergraduate thesis examined cognitive differences in attention to novelty between high and low sensation seekers measured via electroencephalogram (EEG). She has also contributed to research at Ottawa’s Royal Institute of Mental Health Research (IMHR) examining the efficacy of exercise as a non-medication-based treatment for depression. Julia also has experience as a traumatic brain injury (TBI) counsellor and therefore has particularly developed expertise in dealing with clients with concussions as presenting concerns and has worked closely with individuals with substance use disorder and depression.
Julia is currently pursuing her graduate studies in Clinical Psychology with the goal of becoming a Clinical Psychologist and hopes to contribute to research regarding developing sustainable behaviour change techniques which can be applied to a variety of mental health concerns. She completed her undergraduate degree at the University of Ottawa, earning an Honours Bachelor of Science in Psychology, and is currently completing a Master of Science in Neuroscience at Carleton University.
Megan’s undergraduate thesis examined autobiographical memory using brain imaging techniques in women with breast cancer who have undergone chemotherapy. Her master’s thesis is focused on assessing brain activity patterns in individuals with bipolar disorder who experience auditory hallucinations using several brain imaging techniques.
Megan believes in the brain’s ability for growth and positive change. She is passionate about working with individuals to reach their full potential through personalized neurofeedback training and is dedicated to building supportive relationships with those she works with.
Megan is experienced in working with a wide range of populations, including with children through her volunteer work at CHEO and her involvement with her soccer club, as well as with adults through her research and clinical experience.

Rip is an adorable Australian Shepherd, who has been working on becoming a therapy dog at the Stradwick Psychology & Neurofeedback Clinic since he was a puppy. His fluffy coat and sweet face will charm anyone he meets. Rip is incredibly smart, loves to learn new things, and he is always eager to please.
Rip loves getting belly rubs and belly scratches; He is a very affectionate, friendly pup that is well behaved and loves spending time with kids and adults alike. Rip is ready to provide stress relief and comfort by being available to Stradwick Clinic clients to feel, touch, pet, and cuddle him before and after their sessions in a designated area.
